2023 Kamiq - 2 faults out of nowhere?

Hello all. I’ve just registered here in the hope that I might avoid a 180 mile round trip to my nearest ŠKODA dealer…

I have a 2003 model Kamiq SE with 1.0 TSI EVO engine. Last week it developed two annoying problems:

1. I’m getting a hill start assist warning on the dash.

2. The rear parking sensors have stopped working completely (they are clean and unobstructed). There is no activation at all when I select the reverse gear (manual box) and no other way of turning them on or off.

Any clues? The car has done less than 9,000 miles…

Are you getting absolutely nothing from the parking sensors? Mine glitched such that I got the beeps but no graphics, and it was the Bolero head unit that had got itself in a knot. Don't think this sounds quite the same though.
