Stolen from elsewhere, but something I struggled to find information about!
On the main screen at the top of the infotainment system, sometimes a number in a circle appears top centre.
I studied the instructions, and asked the dealer about it, who had no idea. They said they would get back to me, but........
Found this!!
"It is the number of notifications that the infotainment system has for you. If you do a downwards swipe from the top middle of the screen it will show you the shortcuts tab with a notifications tab on the lower right hand side. Press that and it will show you things like software updates - new apps avaliable or installed."
And it works!

When you update the software & notifications does the circle disappear (until new ones available)
I don’t have that circle but I do remember getting a software update about 8 weeks ago which I downloaded so could it be as I don’t have any outstanding notifications there’s no reason for the circle to be displayed?.

Yes - each time you get a software update available - updated - or new apps available you will get notifications.
Turning the engine off and back on appears to clear them.
