Slight whine in 2nd & 3rd

Apart from the road noise constant pitch drone which was on the test model so I expecetd that, I have noticed a slight whine in 2nd & 3rd, particularly when under light load and on the overrun, no noise when caosting in gear under no load. The engine is so quiet this slight whine is noticeable (to me at least). I am running the car in very carefully, 750 miles to date, is this whine common?

Any noise on a new car that causes you concern should be investigated however, from experience of a few years in the trade you may well be asked to put a few more miles on the clock, but certainly a visit to the dealer is a must. Keep the forum updated.
