Just thought I'd pass on what a great time I had taking my Kamiq around Europe for 3 weeks skiing across France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria!
I bought it as a stopgap car that I could use and my son could learn on (manual!) and had an Audi SQ7 on order.
By Jan the Audi hadn't turned up so, with some trepidation, took the Kamiq.
Put it on Continental All-seasons and bought a set of chains.
In short, it has been fantastic -
- no slouch on the autobahn with good gear use. Cruise at 75, 85 or 95 depending on road with broadly 46, 42 and 38 mpg. Got an indicated 120 mph (in fifth) on a stretch of clear unrestricted autobahn
- great in the snow and ice. The fact that the suspension is pumped up makes fitting chains a doddle.
- comfortable driving position and sports seats, and have just about mastered the virtual cockpit.
- love the glass roof

Only criticism (and it is minor) is that the washer fluid capacity is too low + light comes on too early. It can be difficult to fill.
Otherwise really impressed.....and I didn't expect to be.
