Long-term driving data reset

Was a little surprised to find my long-term driving data reset this morning. Initially assumed a bug, then something I pressed, then looking it up I see that it is standard (across whole group?) that it is reset every 100 hours driving time. I would estimate that indeed I may well have just passed 100 driving hours since purchase in January. So as a long-term trend function it is more or less pointless, since it is now fluctuating more than my since-refuelling data! If it can't remember all-time stats, surely it could display for the last 100 hours, 2000 miles or whatever on a rolling basis?
