We recently purchased a used very new Kamiq (1K miles) and it was love at first sight! However the dealer did not tell us about Front Assist and emergency breaking. About one week into new ownership we were driving along in 30mph area. A pedestrian stepped out from behind their vehicle, parked on the left of the road to get to the driver's door and the Kamiq breaked hard and an alarm sounded. There was nio risk of any collision. This could cause a tailgater to hit your car or worse. I don't like the feature. Looked at disabling it and this is strongly discouraged, with a warning ⚠ light showing on the dashboard. Based on our first experience the system is overly sensitive.

Any thoughts?

If you enter the menu programme you can adjust the sensitivity of the system (a few pre-sets I think)
