Im currently looking at buying a suv next year,I cant decide between a kamiq or a puma,in value for money im leaning towards the kamiq,I mean I can get a kamiq 115 bhp on a 69 plate for £17000 with auto park, auto cruise, rear cam, blis in red, cant get a puma for that no where near that, also the ability to retro fit stuff such as virtual cockpit and powered tailgate, cant do that with ford

Sorry I cannot provide a definitive opinion, suffice to say I have owned a Kamiq 1.5 SE since May 2021 and really can't fault it. Driver seat height could be a little higher if I'm being picky but it is OK other than that it is fine. Never driven a Puma, but that said, my sister in law has just got a new Puma, having had to wait about 4 months between order and delivery, but that aside, she seems happy with it. Sorry cannot offer much else, but I suspect there isn't much to choose between them and comes down to personal preferences.

I am leaning towards the kamiq on account of value for money, the pumas are nice, but the cost of them is absolutely crazy, ford want over £24 k for a basic one with nothing in it

Having owned many different (manufacturers) cars over the years & had my Kamiq now for 2.5yrs I would go for the Skoda every time. Reliability is outstanding. My S-in-Laws Skoda ‘superb’ , no problems at all in 30k & 2yrs. Daughters Seat, granddaughters Polo all totally trouble free so I’d go for anything from the VW stable. Previous car a Merc was a pain in the a*** total 6 days downtime in first year. I’d put Skoda against ford any day
It’s my opinion, not everyone will agree but hope it helps.

I agree re VAG reliability. I have just bought my first Skoda after 9 years and 72,000 miles with a Golf. That was almost totally reliable, no issues other than a faulty turbo charge regulator.
