Engine misfire

Yesterday morning I headed out for the fortnightly shop but had to return home fairly quickly as the car wouldn't accelerate above 40mph and was flashing the engine/emissions warning light. A stop/start error also appeared.
Called out Skoda assist who arrived more than 4 hours later (could have had regular AA sooner, but opted for a VW specialist) and found logs for misfires on cylinders 2, 3 and 4. He cleared the errors, confirmed the car wasn't due any ECU updates and looked at the spark plugs on cylinders 1 and 2 which both looked fine. He took it for a short run and it had cleared, so I'm left monitoring the situation. It's the 1.5 manual, 3300 miles on the clock. Has anyone else had this?
Between this, the inability to use the iPod Touch and the issues with traffic sign recognition, I'm starting to have regrets over trading in the Ateca. At least the fuel economy is good.
