Had a start-up glitch with lane assist on my SE yesterday. I know it's documented as generally unavailable for the first couple of minutes for whatever reason, but this time displayed a specific (can't remember the words, but not too ominous) warning message, sounded the warning ding, and lit up the yellow exclamation light. Persisted for the journey, behaved OK the couple of times since. Nothing obviously obscuring the camera or anything, the only possibility (other than the usual ghosts in the machine haunting Skoda electronics) was that I was parked in very direct sunshine, but surely that's part of the reason for the usual delay in availability as it calibrates to the conditions?
The manual has this to say, but wondering if anyone else had this? Almost sounds like it's a known intermittent bug they don't know how to fix.
Troubleshooting
Message regarding system unavailability
› Clean the windscreen in the sensor area.
› Stop the engine and start again.
› If the system is still not available, seek the help of a specialist garage.
Lane assist glitch
Thanks, yes if I remember rightly the message appeared even before starting the engine, so wouldn't be wasting battery to "turn it off and on again" as even our son knows to clear inexplicable computer problems.
