Re: "Grained black decorative insert with glossy black hot stamping"
It's the trim that runs across the dash from one air vent to the other.

Re: Kamiq Brake Caliper Manufacturer’s
Had a quick look after picking mine up today and couldn't see any obvious markings for a manufacturer.

Pick up check list
Something I've seen on other forums, so thought it might be worth starting here. Are there any Kamiq specific things that should be checked on collection? I'll start with a few bits from when my dad picked his up: *Ice scraper in fuel flap *Umbrella in driver's door *Trim across dashboard properly a...

21 reg from 1st March 2021
After a delay in my Kamiq getting across the channel, I opted to push back delivery by a further two weeks and have it on a 21 plate. Between the anticipated build date and port issues I had to tax, service and MOT the Ateca, so might as well get a little use out of it. Is anyone else expecting a ne...

Re: Condensation
I'm fairly sure the lights on the Kamiq are either LED or regular halogen in some markets. Xenon isn't mentioned in the manual for UK cars.

Re: Condensation

Re: Come on peeps!
I'd love to comment on the car but mine is held up at Emden and has been there for two or three weeks already. Not sure if it's a general delay, Brexit paperwork related or something more amiss. I would say the Ateca forum was similarly quiet when the model was new and reduced sales in 2020 won't ha...

Re: Head Restraints
This came up on the SEAT Ateca forum a while ago. Both the Ateca and Kamiq use variants of the MQB chassis and both are built in Skoda factories. The Ateca has a very well hidden release mechanism. https://www.atecaforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3988 There's a YouTube clip on there which might...

Re: Carly adapter & app
Not sure if it's helpful, but on the Ateca owners had to change the minimum battery voltage to just over 12 to make the stop-start not cut in. They were using a different device though and I can't remember the name.
