Re: Spotify problem on Android Auto
I had a weird one where I requested a song via Spotify, and AA incorrectly insisted Spotify wasn't installed. But it was fine when I tried again a few days later. Guess it might have been some kind of concurrency issue, but I only use Spotify in the car anyway, generally! Certainly some flakiness ar...

Re: Android Auto
In my experience the wireless connection is slow and unreliable to establish, and prone to dropping out. I always use the cable if I want to use the navigation dependably. I'm not sure if the issue lies with the Samsung phone, Android Auto or the Bolero infotainment unit. Note that you have to conne...

Re: 110 bhp Engine Motorway fuel economy
Averaged 69mpg on a recent mostly motorway run. Surprised, normally more like high 50s.

Re: SOS Emergency Call Restricted error
Always worth a long hold on the power/volume button on the infotainment screen if it stops responding or plays up in any other way. Forces a soft reset, needed it a few times.

Re: Do I buy a kamiq or a puma
Where there are major issues with new car supply, used prices will be particularly hiked. Not sure what the situation is with Ford, but Skoda certainly seem to be faring better than many in this regard, especially if you're prepared to buy off the peg from imported stock rather than customised. We r...

Re: New SE being down spec'd
I'm never quite sure if it's the turbo or the three-pot engine, but it sounds better than anything I've driven before. Probably a bit of both, our old 4-cylinder turbo 1.2 Yeti had nothing on it.

Re: New SE being down spec'd
SE indicators have never been LED as standard, to my knowledge. The lighting has always been a bit deceptively sold, though to be honest I prefer bulb indicators over static LEDs, so long as they last vehicle lifetime as assured.

Re: New SE being down spec'd
BMW are experimenting with monthly subscriptions to activate this kind of stuff. So everything is there, just programmed not to work unless you keep paying the £££.

Re: SOS Message
I think most of us have had this at some point, without real explanation. I certainly have. If I remember rightly, persistent problems can be related to a faulty backup battery, but occasional glitches just seem to be "one of those things" in Skoda-land, perhaps related to failing to get a...
