Re: Android Auto
I don't use it a lot. Usually I plug it in and set the route through the screen rather than have it pull from the phone. To find a route the phone needs to be on the internet, so either WiFi or mobile data. Once the route is set it doesn't need the data, but having it will allow it to monitor the ro...

Re: Android Auto
Check your phone's GPS is switched on as Android Auto is only using the screen as a display, the phone is doing the processing.

Engine misfire
Yesterday morning I headed out for the fortnightly shop but had to return home fairly quickly as the car wouldn't accelerate above 40mph and was flashing the engine/emissions warning light. A stop/start error also appeared. Called out Skoda assist who arrived more than 4 hours later (could have had ...

Re: Amundsen Kamiq 2021 SAT NAV
Can't be sure as it's not something I've tried, but I suspect it's probably pulled through from the contact information on the phone.

Traffic Sign Recognition
My car is booked in for some updates to resolve the TSR showing 110mph at times along with other odd limits that often appear to be a KPH value, but display as MPH. In logging the issue to try to spot patterns I've noticed it seems to happen in the same places as if it's faulty map data and was wond...

Re: Whether memory stick, or ipod, Kamiq says "No playable files"
Tried the memory stick and it's a slightly mixed bag. Having left the stick plugged in since Sunday night it's been perfect, but it seems unplugging it is problematic. Admittedly I've had three journeys, but it's behaving far more like the iPod did in the SEAT Ateca. I'm due back at the dealer next ...

Re: Whether memory stick, or ipod, Kamiq says "No playable files"
Have just tried the iPod in my dad's car with similar issues or not resuming from the track it album it was left on. Someone on another forum did sort it with a memory stick, and I've had the exact same one delivered today, so will try that in a few days.

Re: Model year changes 20/21
Comparing my dad's 2020 to my 2021, here's a few things I've noticed:
2020 has a 3 spoke steering wheel while the 2021 has a 2 spoke.
2020 has a torch in the boot which was removed for 2021.
Traffic sign recognition has been added for 2021 (assuming the dealer didn't forget to switch it on).
