Re: Skoda Kamiq SE TSI 95 - purchased new October 2023
If it's anything like the Bolero unit on ours, if you leave it "on" it's much less intrusive. It seems to be powering in standby that triggers the unnecessary verbal excess.

Hello, and welcome aboard! Assuming this is a direct replacement, 3 litres.

Re: Digital owners’ manual
Nothing finding, I'm afraid. I have the PDF of our car's vintage (I think covering all trims), but not sure how much has changed since.

Yuk, I'm sure they used to offer a straight PDF download, but seems they want you to browse via their horrid website now. Which trim, year and infotainment are you after, I might be able to find something over the weekend?

Re: Updated Skoda Kamiq revealed
The controls below the infotainment unit look to have a fan speed up/down control. Or am I just hoping? I saw something in Skoda's words about this the other day pertaining to new rotary controls for the air con, which I assume related to the widely hated touch climate control. Having only the SE w...

Re: Car Service History

I took this up with our dealer, who apologetically said the log book was to blame, since i...

Re: Car Service History

Re: Skoda Kamiq to have redesign this year
Good to see the line being developed (especially when the Fabia's future is reportedly somewhat shaky) but I can't honestly say this looks a visual improvement. Maybe it'll look better in the flesh than weirdly lit renders.

Re: Stop / start de-activate
AC and SS aren't absolutely mutually exclusive, but perhaps depends how hard the former is having to work.
Your observation about the auxiliary battery could well be consistent with my suspicions about the regenerative braking.

Re: Stop / start de-activate
It's very picky, based on all kinds of obvious and presumably not so obvious criteria, suspect possibly things like the regenerative braking are considered. Also, I have noted (manual gearbox) that nudging the steering wheel awakens the engine, presumably to get power steering?
